 Graças à gentileza do colega, Andrew Tressider, o novo livro de Julian Barnard, Bach Flower Remedies – the essence within ( Os Remédios Florais de Bach – a essência por dentro), tem sido meu guia de campo, desde que cheguei aqui.

Segundo o autor, o livro é um trabalho completamente novo e revisado do texto originalmente publicado como The Healing Herbs of Dr Edward Bach, pelo Bach Educational Progamme, 1988. No Brasil, o conhecemos por meio de sua versão em espanhol, Las plantas sanadoras del Dr. Edward Bach.

According to the author, the book is a completely new and revised work based on the text originally published as The Healing Herbs of Dr Edward Bach, by the Bach Educational Progamme, 1988. In Brazil, this is better known by its Spanish version, Las plantas sanadoras del Dr. Edward Bach.

Na verdade, trata-se de um livro totalmente novo. Aqui Julian Barnard não só mostra-nos as imagens das flores em detalhes, possibilitando múltiplos usos deste material visual, como também ensina-nos, de uma forma muito prática e simples, como empreender uma jornada de autoconhecimento por meio da cuidadosa observação das plantas de Bach.

In fact, it is an entirely new book. Here Julian Barnard not only shows us detailed images of the flowers, allowing multiple uses of the visual material but also teaches us, in a very practical and simple way, how to undertake a journey of self-knowledge through careful observation of the Bach plants.

Reconstituindo os passos que levaram o Dr Bach à descoberta dos seus primeiros remédios, no País de Gales e, particularmente, de Impatiens, Julian ensina-nos a ver as características da planta e suas flores que ressoam com o comportamento daqueles que necessitam deste floral.

Retracing the steps that have led Dr Bach towards the discovery of his first remedies, in Wales, particularly, of Impatiens, Julian teaches us how to see the characteristics of the plant and its flowers that resonate with the behavior of those who need this flower remedy.

Mas o livro não pára por aí. Além de uma passagem belíssima sobre os insights que o próprio autor teve na preparação de Heather, ainda fazendo valer o desejo do Dr. Bach de que cada pessoa, se assim o desejar, possa preparar seus próprios remédios florais, Julian compartilha como preparar os remédios florais de Bach passo a passo – dos cuidados pessoais ao material necessário para cada método utilizado: solar ou ebulição.

But the book doesn’t stop there. Besides the beautiful passage about the author’s own insights during the preparation of Heather, still enforcing Dr. Bach’s will that those who wished might prepare the essences for themselves, Julian shares how to prepare the Bach flower remedies step by step – from the personal preparation to the equipment needed for each method used: solar or boiling.

Devo confessar que fiquei tentada ao ver tantas floradas magníficas. Mas ainda não cheguei neste ponto. Prefiro contar com a expertise do mestre e comprar os meus florais de Bach na Healingherbs. Um dia, quem sabe…
